      <title>FBR stops procurement of over 1,010 vehicles</title>

&lt;p&gt;FBR Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial informed the Senate Standing Committee on Finance about the decision, following accusations by Senator Faisal Vawda regarding threats to his life from tax officials related to the vehicle procurement issue.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The committee has decided to forward these allegations to the Federal Investigation Agency for further investigation.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Langrial expressed his commitment to accountability and welcomed an external investigation if deemed necessary. He mentioned that the procurement process would remain frozen until the review is completed.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;He highlighted the need for enhanced enforcement capabilities within the FBR to identify non-filers and ensure compliance, emphasi ing the importance of physical market visits due to the nature of the cash economy.&lt;/p&gt;
