Nighttime temperatures in the city are expected to fall between 10 degree Celcius and 12 degree Celcius, with the cold spell anticipated to last until January 19.

Currently, the temperature in Karachi is around 12 degree Celcius, with daytime highs reaching approximately 26 degree Celcius. Humidity levels are at 70%, and northeast winds are blowing at 11 km/h.

The PMD cautioned residents to prepare for even colder conditions, particularly on January 17, when strong winds are expected to intensify the chill.

While Karachi is the main area affected, other parts of the country will also experience cold and dry weather.

Dense fog is likely to blanket Punjab and Upper Sindh during the early mornings and nights, creating visibility challenges for travelers.
