Moyes has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract to replace Sean Dyche, who was dismissed by the club’s new owners, The Friedkin Group (TFG), after expressing that he had taken the team as far as he could.

TFG viewed Moyes as the key to stabilizing Everton and reinstating its core values. The agreement came after productive discussions on Friday, and Moyes expressed his enthusiasm about rejoining the club, stating, “I enjoyed 11 wonderful and successful years at Everton and didn’t hesitate when I was offered the opportunity to rejoin this great club.”

Moyes aimed to lead Everton to Premier League safety, currently sitting just one point above the relegation zone, before transitioning to their new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock next season.

He previously managed Everton for over 500 matches from 2002 to 2013, during which he led the club to four European campaigns and the FA Cup final in 2009. Moyes had been without a managerial role since leaving West Ham at the end of the last season.
