The Pakistan Meteorological Department predicted that the average temperature for January is to be expected around 12 degrees Celsius.

Over the past 24 hours, the minimum temperature was recorded at 8 degrees Celsius.

The coldest spot in the city was identified at Jinnah Terminal, where temperatures dipped to 6.2 degrees Celsius.

Other areas also reported significant drops in temperature, with Gulistan-e-Jauhar recording 7.5 degrees Celsius and Shahrah-e-Faisal at 11.5 degrees Celsius.

Maripur registered a temperature of 10 degrees, while Bin Qasim reported 11 degrees Celsius.

The chief meteorologist at PMD, Sardar Sarfaraz, said that temperatures are expected to drop further during this period.
