      <title>PCB gives update on Saim Ayub’s injury</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Pakistan’s emerging star Saim Ayub had to be helped off the field in the second Test match against South Africa in Cape Town on Friday after suffering an ankle injury.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;“Saim Ayub twisted his right ankle during fielding. He has gone to hospital for further investigation. Updates will be provided in due course,” a statement from the Pakistan Cricket Board said.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The injury came on the second ball of the seventh over as Ryan Ricketon pushed a delivery through the slip cordon.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Ayub turned and chased the ball but his ankle twisted causing him to fall.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The team’s medical staff immediately came on the field as Ayub winced in pain. He had to be helped off the field and could not walk on his own power.&lt;/p&gt;
