MWM chief Allama Raja Nasir Abbas made the announcement in a press conference in Islamabad on Wednesday.

Referring to a peace agreement signed in Kohat by both parties, Abbas emphasized, “My demand is that there should be no delay in the implementation of this agreement. I call on all participants in the sit-ins to end their protests peacefully. I thank those who stood in solidarity with the oppressed, and I hope you will all return to your homes peacefully.”

His press conference comes soon after a peace agreement was signed in Kurram to restore peace in the region, with both parties signing the accord.

The grand jirga in Kohat, convened to address the situation in Kurram District, has concluded. Both sides signed a peace agreement at the jirga.

According to Jirga member Malik Sawab Khan, 45 representatives from each side signed the agreement, which consists of 14 points.

MWM had organised sit-ins at over a dozen locations in Karachi, effectively disrupting the entire city’s traffic. The sit-ins were organised to show solidarity with the people of Parachinar, which has been marked by hostilities for almost three months.
