      <title>Met Office forecasts rain, snowfall for January’s first week</title>

&lt;p&gt;A frontal weather system is expected to enter western parts of the country in the evening or night and may linger in the upper regions until January 6, 2025.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Rain to be accompanied by wind and thunderstorms, with heavy snowfall, is anticipated from the night of January 1 through January 6. Areas likely to be affected include Diamir, Astore, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, and Neelum Valley.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Khyber Pakhtunkhwa can expect rain, wind, and thunderstorms with heavy snowfall over hilly areas from January 1 to January 5, affecting Chitral, Dir, Swat, and other districts.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Rain and thunderstorms, along with heavy snowfall in Murree and Galliyat, are forecasted from the night of January 1 to January 6. Light rain is also expected in various districts, including Lahore, Faisalabad, and Sargodha from January 2 to January 6.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, and surrounding areas can experience rain and snowfall, from January 1 to January 4.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Sindh will experience cold and dry weather, but light rain may occur in Dadu, Sukkur, and Jacobabad on January 3 and 4.&lt;/p&gt;
