      <title>SBP announces holiday for all banks</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The State Bank of Pakistan and all the banking and financial institutions will remain closed on December 25, 2024, on the occasion of Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;“The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on December 25, 2024 [Wednesday] being a public holiday on the occasions of Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas, as declared by the Government of Pakistan,” the central bank said in a statement issued on Monday.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;All the banks, microfinance banks and development finance institutions will also remain closed to observe the public holiday.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Earlier in the day, the Cabinet Division &lt;a href="https://english.aaj.tv/news/330394398/cabinet-division-releases-list-of-public-holidays-in-2025"&gt;released&lt;/a&gt; the calendar of public and optional holidays for the year 2025. The first holiday will be on February 5, followed by Pakistan Day on March 23.&lt;/p&gt;
