The warning includes increased snowfall in the northern mountainous regions and further rainfall in areas such as Islamabad.

Already, upper regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir have seen heavy snowfall, blanketing the mountains in white.

Northern Balochistan has also experienced a sharp temperature decrease, with the coldest temperature recorded yesterday reaching a bone-chilling -10°C. Other areas experiencing significantly low temperatures include Skardu (-9°C), Kalat (-7°C), Quetta (-2°C), and Malam Jabba (-1°C).

The Meteorological Department forecasts that the cold snap will intensify today, with rain and thunderstorms predicted for upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, upper Punjab, Pothohar region, and Islamabad.

Snowfall is expected in the mountains, with hail possible in some areas. The rest of the country is expected to experience cold, dry weather.

In Karachi, temperatures dropped to 13°C on Sunday morning, with a further decrease anticipated. Residents have already begun wearing warmer clothing. Rain and mountain snowfall are expected across much of the country, including Sindh, starting today.
