The November protests organized by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have resulted in costs exceeding Rs1.5 billion for law enforcement in Punjab alone.

In light of these expenses, the Punjab Police officials have requested Rs500 million from the government to cover the costs associated with managing the protests.

To maintain order during these demonstrations, 27,000 police personnel were deployed across various locations in Punjab, including Lahore, with an additional 2,000 officers sent to Islamabad.

The protests led to injuries for 131 police officers and the death of one officer.
Authorities reported that 20 police officers were taken hostage by violent demonstrators but were subsequently rescued.
