In a press release on December 6, the group reiterated that their exclusive contracts ended on November 28 and expressed concern over the treatment they and their staff have faced since then.

The members stated, “We have been fulfilling schedules left by ADOR, even after announcing the end of our contracts.”

They claimed that ADOR and HYBE had aggressively targeted their supporters, seizing laptops and creating a hostile environment that left staff members in tears due to severe bullying.

This statement follows an emergency press conference held on November 28, during which NewJeans announced their decision to leave ADOR after presenting a list of eight demands.

The group threatened to sever ties if these requests were not addressed within 14 days.

NewJeans made it clear that as of November 29, 2024, they no longer have any contractual obligations to ADOR, stating, “The agency cannot interfere with our activities any longer.”

They emphasized a contractual clause that permits termination if ADOR fails to meet its obligations, criticizing the agency for expecting them to continue working under broken trust.

In response, ADOR has filed a legal motion seeking clarification from the court regarding the status of the contracts with NewJeans and issued a warning to other companies to avoid involvement in the dispute.

They expressed their intentions to prevent any confusion regarding the artists’ contractual status, which could mislead the industry both domestically and internationally.
