      <title>Date for winter holidays in Punjab schools announced</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Punjab’s Secretary of Schools, Khalid Nazir Watto, has announced that winter holidays for schools in the province will commence on December 20, 2024.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The break is scheduled to last until January 10, 2025.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In related news, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has postponed intermediate practical exams that were set for Monday, due to a public holiday declared by the federal government in the twin cities.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Controller of Examinations, Tanveer Asghar Awan, stated that a new date for the exams will be communicated later.&lt;/p&gt;
