The break-in occurred just before midnight on October 13, when the intruders accessed Shaw Farm by scaling a six-foot fence.

After entering a farm building, the burglars made off with a black Isuzu pickup and a red quad bike.

They triggered an alert while escaping, damaging a security barrier at the farm gate, which is routinely used by the royal family.

At the time of the burglary, Prince William, Catherine, Princess of Wales, and their three children were reportedly at home in Adelaide Cottage.

However, King Charles and Queen Camilla were not present.
