The regulatory authority’s decision comes in response to multiple complaints from consumers who have installed solar systems but have been denied green meters. These complaints prompted NEPRA to investigate K-Electric’s failure to provide the required net metering connections.

Despite K-Electric’s attempts to address the issue by submitting responses to NEPRA’s inquiries, the authority found the company’s explanations unsatisfactory.

As a result, NEPRA has formally moved to hold K-Electric accountable for its non-compliance with the established regulations.
