The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has announced a reduction of Rs1.28 per unit in electricity prices for the entire country, excluding Karachi.

The notification regarding the price decrease, effective for the September 2024 monthly adjustment, was issued today. Consumers will see this reduction reflected in their November bills.

This price reduction does not apply to K-Electric consumers. In contrast to the nationwide reduction, NEPRA increased electricity prices for K-Electric consumers by Rs0.40 per unit in the August 2024 monthly adjustment.

A formal notification regarding this increase has been issued. K-Electric consumers will see these additional charges reflected in their bills: Rs3.17 per unit in November (for the June 2024 adjustment), Rs3.03 per unit in December (for the July 2024 adjustment), and Rs0.40 per unit in January 2025 (for the August 2024 adjustment).
