A significant breakthrough has been made in the investigation of a robbery targeting foreign nationals in Karachi Tuesday.

Police have widened their investigation, and the victims, Polish citizens, have identified two suspects using sketches and photographs provided by authorities.

Police sources indicate the suspects have a history of similar crimes. The Polish citizens were shown photographs and sketches of over ten individuals. They positively identified two suspects from this lineup. A search for these two individuals is currently underway.

According to police, both suspects have been implicated in previous robberies – two in Islamabad and one in Karachi. The Polish citizens were residing in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) at the time of the incident.

Police noted that the foreign nationals had not engaged the Foreigners Security Cell for official security. CCTV footage suggests the suspects accessed Defence via Kala Pul.

Karachi police have contacted their counterparts in Islamabad to assist in the apprehension of the two identified suspects.
