The victim, Laila, was reportedly three months pregnant.

According to family members, Laila was stabbed in the neck. Her father stated that Laila and the accused, Abdullah, had a love marriage in June 2024, and both worked together at a call center.

He claimed that Abdullah informed him that Laila had cut her hand, but upon arriving at the hospital, he found her dead with a slit throat.

Laila’s sister alleged that her sister had been subjected to domestic violence by her husband.

Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident. A post-mortem report is awaited to determine the exact cause of death. The investigation is ongoing.
