The incident occurred in the Bhagowal Road area, falling under the jurisdiction of Naikapura police station.

Police report that Hamza, the alleged perpetrator, shot and killed his brother-in-law, Muhammad Abrar.

Abrar’s wife, Madiha, had recently passed away due to cardiac arrest. Hamza reportedly held Abrar responsible for Madiha’s death, believing he failed to seek timely medical attention for her.

Sources indicate that Hamza, overwhelmed by grief over his sister’s death, committed the murder after attending a Fatiha at the cemetery on the tenth day after her death. Abrar, the victim, was a father of four children.

Police have launched a search for Hamza and are confident of a swift arrest.
