Bilawal took his time to laugh before he answered.

‘Meri shadi meri marzi,’ he said, causing the gathering to erupt in laughter.

The marriage question has dogged Bilawal, who turned 36 this year, for quite some time.

Asked about his marriage plans, Bilawal said “Of course, I have plans to marry,” to journalists on the sidelines of the 77th UNGA session.

In 2016, he had added that his future wife would have meet the approval of his sisters first.

“The right candidate will first have to win over the hearts of my sisters. I have to take them into confidence. And winning over the hearts of my sisters is a very difficult task for any girl,” he said.
