According to a Ministry of Interior statement, a special plane has departed for Sri Lanka to bring the prisoners back. The ministry had been in contact with Sri Lankan authorities for three months regarding the prisoners’ repatriation.

Federal Minister for Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan will cover the costs of their return.

The Interior Minister expressed gratitude to the Sri Lankan government for its cooperation in facilitating the prisoners’ return and thanked Minister Abdul Aleem Khan for bearing the expenses.
