      <title>Funeral prayers for police official killed PTI protest offered in D-Chowk</title>

&lt;p&gt;Constable Abdul Hameed, of the Islamabad Police, was under treatment at the PIMS hospital. He had been assaulted by enraged PTI workers.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Details indicate that the Islamabad police official was injured during clashes between police and PTI workers amidst PTI protests in the federal capital.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;He later died while receiving medical treatment.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;According to an Islamabad Police spokesperson, Abdul Hamid was on law and order duty at Chungi No 26. He was assigned to the Investigation Wing and was a resident of Abbottabad.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Hameed joined the Islamabad Police in 1988 and was due to retire from service after three months.&lt;/p&gt;
