His extensive experience in operational intelligence has equipped him to handle various military affairs.</p> <p>Prior to his current appointment, General Malik led the Infantry Division in Balochistan and commanded the Infantry Brigade in Waziristan. He is a recipient of the prestigious Sword of Honour and has served as Chief Instructor at the National Defence University as well as an instructor at the Command and Staff College in Quetta.</p> <p>According to the report, Malik is a distinguished graduate of Fort Leavenworth and the Royal College of Defence Studies.
