JUI-F calls for clarification from PTI regarding Barrister Saif’s comments

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) spokesperson Aslam Ghauri has demanded that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf clarify the “recent remarks” made by Barrister Saif, describing them as indicative of a “deficient mindset.”

The PTI leader in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had previously alleged during a private TV programme that historically, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman aligns himself with whoever serves his interests. He suggested that if the JUI-F leader has changed his stance to align with the government for personal gain, “then congratulations to him.”

Saif claimed that Fazl’s influence has diminished significantly in KP, claiming that he holds so few seats that he cannot even convene an assembly session with the combined opposition.

While reacting to such comments, Ghauri said that the JUI-F was conducting its anti-government movement “independently and effectively.”

He stated: “The historic public assembly at Minar-e-Pakistan has pulled the rug out from under Barrister Saif and his masters.”

Ghauri added that the PTI needed to “rein in such disrespectful individuals.” Both the PTI and the JUI-F must “eliminate such elements before moving forward,” he said.
