      <title>Govt announces public holiday on September 17</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The federal government has issued a notification declaring September 17 to be a public holiday.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The day has been declared a holiday to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi, on 12 Rabi ul Awwal.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In this regard, there will be a public holiday across the country and all schools, colleges, government, semi-government and private offices will be closed.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Ruet-e-Hilal committee did not receive sufficient reports of Rabi-ul- Awwal on August 4. The first of Rabi-ul-Awwal therefore fell on August 6.&lt;/p&gt;
