      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Widespread floods and heavy rains across Pakistan have caused widespread devastation, claiming the lives of 245 people in the past 27 days.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;According to a report released by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Punjab has recorded the highest number of fatalities with 92 deaths, followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 74, Sindh with 47, and Balochistan with 22.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The NDMA also reported six deaths in Kashmir and four in Gilgit-Baltistan.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The report further revealed that the city of Multan experienced a record-breaking 48-year-high rainfall, with 147 millimeters of rain recorded in just two hours.&lt;/p&gt;
