Several areas, including Ghanta Ghar, nearby neighborhoods, and low-lying areas like Old Sukkur and Jail Road, are submerged under several feet of water.

The flooding has also affected major roads like Nishtar Road, Husaini Road, Ghanta Ghar, Barrage Road, and Regent, with water entering most markets, forcing shopkeepers to close down.

A 10-foot wide breach has occurred in the Dhandi Qutub Canal, located near Rajanpur city. This has caused water to flood nearby settlements. Local residents are attempting to repair the breach on their own.

Floodwater from the Koh-e-Sulaiman mountain range is being drained through canals and flood channels. During the monsoon season, the Irrigation Department closes the headworks at Taunsa Barrage and uses the same canals to drain floodwater.

The Dhandi Qutub Canal experienced intense pressure from floodwater throughout the night, leading to the 10-foot breach in the early hours of the morning. Local residents are working to repair the breach.
