A portion of a mountain in the Mohandri area of Mansehra, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has collapsed and fallen into the Kunhar River.

This incident has caused cracks in the houses of a settlement located on the mountainside, leading to fear and panic among the residents, who have been forced to evacuate.

There are concerns that the collapse of the mountain into the Kunhar River could lead to the formation of a lake.

The dam created by the flood that hit Mohandri eighteen days ago has not been breached.

Mohandri bridge opened after reconstruction

Mohandri Bazaar devastated by floods, KP rushes to restore connectivity in Kaghan Valley

The Mohandri Bridge, which was destroyed by recent floods, had been rebuilt and opened on August 12, restoring access to the Kaghan Valley.

The Kaghan Valley Road, which was closed for 14 days, was also reopened for travel to northern areas and Naran.

    <iframe

The closure of the Kaghan Valley Road had resulted in millions of rupees in losses for the hotel industry.

Meanwhile, at least 25 people were killed in rain related incidents across Pakistan on Sunday. More rains have been forecast across Pakistan in the next 48 hours.
