The demonstration, organized by the Customs Private Clearance Agents Association and the Transporters Union, saw participants demand a more efficient system for issuing temporary entry documents for cargo vehicles traveling between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Protesters claim that drivers often face delays of several months in obtaining these Temporary Admission Documents (TADs), hindering bilateral trade. The lack of TADs has resulted in thousands of vehicles being stranded on both sides of the Torkham border for the past month.

While acknowledging the recent easing of visa policies and the introduction of temporary entry permits for vehicles, protesters emphasized that the delays in issuing these documents continue to cripple trade.
