&lt;p&gt;According to the notification, Rs100 to Rs150 has been reduced for AC class tickets while Rs50 was cut for economy class.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;“The aim of reducing rail fares is to make train travel more affordable and accessible for the public,” it said.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Last month, the railways announced earning a record revenue of Rs88 billion for the fiscal year 2023-24, ending on June 30, with 40% more income compared to the last fiscal year.&lt;/p&gt;
