The Saudi Ministry of Interior has reported that on Monday, a Pakistani drug smuggler was executed in the Makkah region.

The ministry stated that law enforcement agencies had arrested a Pakistani citizen named Zubair Khan Hazrat Jamal, and seized heroin that he was attempting to smuggle into the kingdom.

The ministry said the accused was presented before the court with all the evidence, and the court sentenced him to death after he confessed to the crime.

The Saudi Interior Ministry confirmed that the local court had sentenced him to death, and this sentence was ultimately implemented after going through the appeals process.
