The provincial government has submitted a list of 57 accused, including PTI Chairman Imran Khan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Umar Ayub, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, and others, to the Supreme Court.

The petition, filed through the Punjab Prosecutor General, names the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) judge in Rawalpindi as a party. The petition argues that the ATC had wrongly granted bail to the accused and requests the Supreme Court to issue notices to the accused and revoke their bail.

The Punjab government had previously challenged the ATC’s decision in the Lahore High Court, but the court rejected their plea and imposed a fine. The government is now seeking a higher court’s intervention in the matter.
