Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf spokesman Raoof Hassan was handed over to the Federal Investigation Agency on a two-day remand on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the FIR that led to his arrest has also emerged, revealing offences under PECA as well as confessional statements from PTI’s social media office holders.

A court in Islamabad also approved the remand for several male workers of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, while two female workers have been sent to jail on judicial remand.

Earlier, PTI leader Raoof Hasan and other accused were presented before the court of Judicial Magistrate Abbas Shah. PTI lawyer Latif Khosa appeared in court on behalf of the party.

At the start of the hearing, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) prosecutor requested a 30-day physical remand for Rauf Hasan, stating that devices related to social media accounts need to be recovered.

Lawyer Latif Khosa opposed the request for Rauf Hasan’s physical remand.
