“I believe today Donald Trump has won the November 5 election because he did not panic when he was picked up after the attack and showed a fist, saying ‘fight, fight, fight’,” he said while appearing on Aaj News show Rubaroo on Sunday.

“He showed bravery and he will get a sympathy vote. Like, out country Trump supporters will see a conspiracy behind it. The attack is condemnable but it will politically benefit him.”

Trump was shot in the ear in an attempted assassination during a campaign rally on Saturday, an attack that will likely reshape this year’s US presidential race while raising sharp questions about the security provided to the Republican candidate.

Early on Sunday, the FBI identified 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, as the “subject involved” in what it termed an attempted assassination. He was a registered Republican, according to state voter records.

The PML-N senator dismissed the notion that it was Trump’s own ploy, saying: “This was the work of a professional, as the bullet hit his ear. If Trump had not turned his face, the bullet would have hit him in the head.”

He expressed confidence Trump would become the next US President on November 5. “I believe Trump will be a better president than Biden,” Hussain said.

The PML-N senator supported his statement by saying that Trump would be the first president after John F Kennedy who would not be the representative of the American establishment. Trump would stop the Ukraine war and would not stop a new war against Muslims, he said.

Hussain accused US President Joe Biden of being “fully complicit” in the Gaza massacre, labelling him a “warmonger” who is also escalating tensions with NATO, provoking Russia in Ukraine, and pursuing a policy of containment against China.

In response to a question, he said that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s aggressive intentions in Ukraine were not visible, as he only wanted to defend Russian borders and is in fact strengthening regional cooperation.

Hussain also revealed that Putin is a friend of Chinese President Xi Jinping and also desires good relations with Pakistan.

While addressing the IMF formula, the PML-N senator said that it has been tested and failed, indicating that the country was in the “ICU, which is not a sign of progress.”

On Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s statement related to his resignation during the FBR meeting, Hussain claimed that it was a day-old grievance stemming from the Supreme Court’s decision on the Sunni Ittehad Council seats which the “poor FBR officials” had to bear the brunt of.

“After the 2018 elections, I had made full preparations to unveil the veil of rigging. We were about to release a white paper on the rigging, but two weeks later, Shehbaz Sharif stopped me and prevented us from writing the white paper. And that white paper was never published,” he said.

The PML-N senator implied that it was due to a “phone call from somewhere” to the party leadership, causing them to shy away from speaking the truth.
