For domestic consumers, the minimum rate has been set at Rs23.73 per unit. Consumers using up to 200 units for 6 consecutive months will be charged Rs26.11 per unit.

Here are the electricity rates increased due to basic electricity tariffs:

• For non-protected consumers using up to 100 units, the rate is Rs23.73 per unit.
• For non-protected consumers using up to 200 units, the rate is Rs29.74 per unit.
• For consumers using between 201 and 300 units, the electricity rate is Rs29.74 per unit.
• For consumption between 301-400 units, the rate is Rs32.98 per unit.
• For consumers using between 401 to 500 units, the rate is Rs34.27 per unit.
• For consumption between 501-600 units, the rate is Rs35.64 per unit.
• For consumption between 601-700 units, the rate is Rs36.96 per unit.
• For consumption above 700 units, the rate is 41.69 per unit.

For commercial and industrial consumers, the new electricity rates have been set at up to 41 Rupees and 30 Rupees per unit respectively.
