In an interview with the Israeli news outlet Ynetnews, Carmon stated that Israel was one of the few countries that supplied India with weapons during its conflict with Pakistan.

“The Indians always remind us that Israel was there for them during the Kargil war… The Indians don’t forget this and might now be returning the favour,” Carmon said.

According to reports, during the 1999 Kargil War, Israel provided India with military supplies and equipment, including guided munitions and drones.

Former Israeli Ambassador to India, Daniel Carmon, has now suggested that India may be returning the favor by supplying drones and artillery shells to Israel as it battles the ongoing war in Gaza.

Carmon stated that Israel was one of the few countries to offer India weapons during its conflict with Pakistan.

Media reports have indicated that India has provided Israel with advanced Hermes 900 drones manufactured in Hyderabad, where Israel has set up a facility to produce supplies for the Indian military. However, India has not confirmed these reports or responded to Carmon’s remarks.
