Asgar, known for his comic roles, played the role of the Indian comedian’s grandmother in the hit comedy show. He was also part of The Kapil Sharma Show when the hit programme switched from Colors to Sony.

Before the comedy show, Asgar was widely recognised for his portrayal of Kamal Agarwal in the popular Star Plus drama Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. He has also made his mark in the crime drama series F.I.R., where he played the character of Inspector Raj Aryan.
