      <title>Punjab police finalises security plan for Eid-ul-Adha</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Punjab Police have implemented a comprehensive security plan for Eid-ul-Adha, deploying over 40,000 officers and personnel across the province.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;According to Inspector General of Police  Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, a dedicated security plan has been formulated for mosques, Imambargahs, and Eid prayer gatherings. This plan involves the deployment of 40,000 officers to secure 26,500 mosques, Imambargahs, and 900 open Eid gatherings.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In Lahore alone, over 6,000 officers will be deployed to secure more than 5,000 Eid prayer gatherings. Additionally, 498 special police personnel, 260 Quick Response Force teams, 13,249 metal detectors, 217 walk-through gates, and 4,475 CCTV cameras will be utilized for security arrangements.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Dr. Anwar stated that over 3,000 officers are responsible for ensuring the security of 227 cattle markets across the province, including Lahore.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;He has instructed police officials to strictly enforce the Home Department’s SOPs regarding the collection of sacrificial animal hides.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The IG has also directed authorities to enhance surveillance of banned organizations and individuals listed in the Fourth Schedule. Snipers and plainclothes commandos will be deployed on the rooftops of mosques and Imambargahs.&lt;/p&gt;
