      <title>Dollar appreciates against rupee in interbank</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The rupee fell by nine paisa against the dollar in the interbank market on Thursday, closing at Rs278.39 compared to the previous day’s closing rate of Rs 278.30.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market were Rs277.25 and Rs279.9 respectively, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The exchange rate of the Euro increased by nine paisa, closing at Rs302.72 against the previous day’s closing of Rs 302.63, the State Bank of Pakistan said.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Japanese Yen remained unchanged, closing at Rs1.78 while the British Pound witnessed an increase of 29 paisa, trading at Rs355.86 compared to the last day’s closing of Rs355.57.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Furthermore, the exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal also saw slight increases, rising by three paisa and two paisa to close at Rs75.79 and Rs74.22 respectively.&lt;/p&gt;
