According to reports from the Kashmir Media Service, Indian forces launched an operation in the Nihama area, sealing all entry and exit points, causing widespread fear and panic among residents.

Indian media reports claim that a firefight took place between security forces and separatists in Pulwama. They allege that a resistance commander belonging to the Lashkar-e-Taiba group is trapped in a house.

According to media reports, the alleged commanders, Rais Ahmad and Riyaz Ahmad Dar, are residents of the Pulwama district in south Kashmir.
