Speaking to reporters informally at the Parliament House, Dar said that he believed that negotiations were the way out of every crisis but they cannot be extended to anti-state elements.

Referring to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Dar added that no concessions can be granted to people involved in the protests of May 9, where the Corps Commander house and General Headquarters were attacked.

He added that the opinion on May 9 expressed by the Formation Commanders Conference was the opinion of every Pakistani citizen.

He stated that the 126-day sit-in in front of the parliament was resolved through negotiations. Compromise and dialogue are part of politics and should be practiced. The May 9 incident was an uprising against the state.

He acknowledged that there were issues regarding CPEC and security that were yet to be resolved.

Dar said that the Prime Minister will visit China from June 4th to 8th. Good news is expected from the Prime Minister’s visit to China.

He said that he discussed these issues during his visit to China, and they will be further discussed during the Prime Minister’s visit.

Ishaq Dar informed that the perpetrators of the attack on Chinese engineers have been identified. The Interior Secretary and Foreign Office officials have traveled to Kabul. The Afghan authorities will be taken into confidence regarding the perpetrators involved in the attacks on Chinese citizens.
