Scott, known for his acclaimed roles in shows like Fleabag and Ripley, will be joining previously announced cast members Daniel Craig, who is reprising his role as detective Benoit Blanc, as well as Josh O’Connor and Cailee Spaeny.

Director Rian Johnson, who wrote and directed the first two Knives Out films, is returning to helm “Wake Up Dead Man”, which he has promised will be Blanc’s “most dangerous case yet.” Johnson is also producing the film alongside his T-Street partner Ram Bergman.

The Knives Out franchise has seen immense success since its debut in 2019, with the original film grossing $312 million against a $40 million budget. This led Netflix to acquire the rights to the series, with the sequel “Glass Onion” debuting in 2022 and enjoying a limited theatrical run before streaming on the platform.

“Wake Up Dead Man” will mark a reunion between Scott and Craig, who previously shared the screen in the 2015 James Bond film “Spectre”. Scott’s career has been steadily on the rise since his breakout role as the Hot Priest in Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s hit series Fleabag, and he has continued to earn critical acclaim for his performances in projects like “All of Us Strangers” and the Netflix adaptation of “Ripley”.
