      <title>Legendary actor Talat Hussain laid to rest in Karachi</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Renowned actor Talat Hussain was laid to rest in Karachi’s DHA phase 8 graveyard on Sunday.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The celebrated actor &lt;a href="https://english.aaj.tv/news/330362308/veteran-actor-talat-hussain-passes-away-in-karachi"&gt;passed away&lt;/a&gt; at the age of 83 after a prolonged illness. He is survived by a widow, two daughters and a son.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The funeral prayer of the actor was held at the Aisha Masjid, Khayaban-e-Ittehad. Actors belonging to the Pakistan showbiz industry, relatives, fans and a large number of people attended the funeral.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Actress Tazeen Hussain, who is the daughter of the late actor, confirmed the death of her father on Sunday.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;His famous movies were Chiragh Jalta Raha, Gumnaam, Import-eksport, Insan aur Aadmi, Jinnah - The Movie, Laaj and Qurbani.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The famous dramas of the actor were “Aansoo”, “Arjumand”, “Bandish PTV”, “Des Perdes”, “Eid Ka Jora”, “Fanooni Latifey”, “Hawaaian”, “Ik Naye Morr Pe”, “Kashkol”, “Perchaiyan”, “Tariq bin Ziad”, “The Castle- Aik Umeed”, “Traffik” on Channel Four and “Typist”.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Hussain received Pride of Performance Award in 1982, the Amanda Award in 2006, the Best Supporting Role for Import Eksport and the National Film Awards in 1985 for Best Actor in Gumnan film.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;He was born in Delhi, India. His family migrated to Pakistan in 1947. The late actor married Rakhshanda in 1972, a professor at the University of Karachi.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Hussain’s first television play was Arjumand. Later, he went to England to study at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Hussain also narrated the translation of the entire Holy Quran in the Urdu language in the early 1970s, then commercially produced on audiotape and CD.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;He also lent his voice to the person of Jesus in the Urdu dubbed version of the famous movie Jesus. He also worked for the National Academy of Performing Arts in Karachi.&lt;/p&gt;
