      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast that a heatwave will continue to affect most of the country’s plains for the next two days. Warm winds are also expected during the afternoon hours.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;According to the PMD report, the weather in Gilgit-Baltistan is expected to be partly cloudy with a chance of thunderstorms in the evening and night. The continental air pressure will remain strong across most of the country.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The PMD states that the upper regions are experiencing high air pressure, and the hot weather conditions are likely to persist for the next two days.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The report also notes that most parts of the country experienced extremely hot weather over the past 24 hours. However, some areas in Gilgit-Baltistan received light rain and drizzle.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The highest temperatures recorded in the past 24 hours were: 53°C in Mohenjodaro, 52°C in Jacobabad, 51°C in Dadu, 50°C in Khanpur, Khairpur, Larkana, Padidan, Sukkur, Sibi, and Rohri, 49°C in Rahim Yar Khan, Bhakkar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Kot Adu, and Nawabshah, 48°C in Multan, Dera Ismail Khan, and Turbat, and 47°C in Skardu, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Jhang, Joharabad, Lia, and Noorpur Thal.&lt;/p&gt;
