Making a speech in the KP assembly on Friday, Gandapur said he was giving the federal government 15 days to sit down for talks with him.

In what was seemingly a hint at protests, Gandapur said that the KP government cannot simply keep making requests and would have to take matters in his own hands at some point.

He also referred to the recent protests in Azad Kashmir as having exposed the government. He said that the government would not be able to handle things if protests broke out in KP.

Threatening to take over WAPDA offices if the federal government does not budge, he said that electricity theft cannot take place without connivance of WAPDA officials.

Gandapur also said that the center had shared Rs300 billion less than what it owed the province. He said that the government is bound to pay KP Rs92 billion in surplus revenue as part of IMF conditions.

He also lamented that he is accused of making ‘irresponsible’ statements whenever he asks for his province’s right.
