The Supreme Court administration has started investigating former prime minister Imran Khan’s picture, which went viral on social media, from the proceedings on the amendments to NAB laws, sources said on Thursday.

Khan was seen wearing a light blue shirt in the picture. The picture was apparently taken from a mobile as the former prime minister was seen on the screen of the laptop.

This came when he appeared via video link before the Supreme Court the case related to the amendments made to the National Accountability Ordinance, 1999 (NAO) – the law that governs the country’s top graft buster, the National Accountability Bureau.

According to sources, the SC has directed officials to examine the CCTV footage of the courtroom to identify the individual responsible for circulating the picture.

The picture was taken in violation of courtroom rules, they said and added that the police would take action against the person who circulated it.

Furthermore, it has been reported that the size of the PTI founder’s video has been reduced in the court after the picture went viral.
