According to the China National Space Administration (CNSA), a special ceremony was held to commemorate the successful mission of ICUBE-Qamar at their headquarters.

The first image received from the CubeSat was presented to the Pakistani Ambassador, Khalil Hashmi.

SparkCo reported that the ICUBE-Qamar has completed three orbits around the Moon.

ICUBE-Qamar entered the lunar orbit a couple of days ago, and it is currently undergoing a thorough examination and verification of the orbit using its subsystems.

The satellite mission involves gathering data and verifying the lunar orbit, while its optical cameras are utilized to obtain images of the Moon’s surface.

The ICUBE-Qamar is a collaborative effort between China’s Shanghai University and SUPARCO (Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission).

It was developed to capture high-resolution images of the lunar surface and equipped with two optical cameras, the satellite has now achieved its primary objective of obtaining the first image of the Moon.

Earlier this week, the satellite entered the lunar orbit, commencing the mission to assess and validate the lunar orbit’s subsystems.
