Sanjay Leela Bhansali considered Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan for ‘Heeramandi’

People are applauding the movie as another person said she loved it.

Another person wrote about the film, describing it as “magic”.

But there were some viewers who did not like Bhansali’s latest offering, saying that the OTT drama lacked storyline.

“Watching #Heeramandi on #Netflix. 4th episode is going on & I’m still wondering what’s the story all about. Is there any solid story or am I going to have this random costume & jewellry drama only? Getting bored too but me being me poora toh dekhungi hee. See u after 8 episodes,” said one user.

Heeramandi revolves around a story set in the pre-Independence era of Lahore. The plot revolves around Nawabs and their wives, who live lavish lifestyles.

Fareedan, played by Sonakshi Sinha, returned to claim her stake once she was banished. The place, Shahi Mahal (royal house), was lorded to Madam Mallikajaan, played by Manisha Koirala where all the scenes were shown.

An old and legendary rivalry between Mallikajaan and Fareedan was portrayed. 

Richa Chadha’s contribution is confined to a brief part. The actors playing the women who serve, the delightfully named Satto-Phatto, and Saima, the low-born girl who sings better than them all, are all spot on, as are many in the supporting cast as the freedom fighters.
