Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan has written a new article in a leading British publication from jail, outlining apprehensions that his life is in danger. He has also warned that Pakistan is at a dangerous ‘crossroads’.

In an article published in the Telegraph on Thursday, Khan wrote that the people of Pakistan ‘stand in confrontation’ with the country today.

He has also outlined the story of his ouster by the vote of no-confidence, calling it ‘engineered’. Khan also referred to the government that replaced him as ‘cobbled together by the military’.

Describing the result of the February 8 election as a ‘democratic revenge’, he said that election results were manipulated to bring defeated parties into power.

He has also directly named the military, including COAS General Asim Munir, and the supreme court by name in the article and criticised their role in the present crises in the country.
