According to a statement, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Shadab Khan gave the ambassador some cricket tips using a special US Embassy cricket ball. The Pakistani team presented the ambassador with a signed cricket bat and a Pakistan team jersey.

The US ambassador presented the team with a commemorative embassy cricket ball and an autographed softball bat.

The US envoy later participated in an impromptu cricket demonstration with members of the Pakistan side.

Both Pakistan and the US have been slated to play within the same group stage and will compete in a highly anticipated game scheduled for June 6.

The Twenty20 showpiece, which starts on June 1, is being jointly staged by the United States and the West Indies.
