The terrorist, identified as Meraj alias Mama, has confessed to his involvement in several high-profile terrorist attacks during interrogation, sending shockwaves through the nation.

DIG South Asad Raza revealed that Meraj served as a key operative for the BLA, conducting reconnaissance for the terrorist organization and providing crucial information to BLA commander Jalal. This information, as per DIG Raza, was instrumental in orchestrating attacks on security forces.

Among the major revelations made by Meraj was his role in the 2017 attack on a military convoy en route from Turbat to Gwadar Mand.

Meraj confessed to conducting reconnaissance of the convoy, which subsequently led to a deadly assault by the BLA, resulting in the martyrdom of several soldiers.

Furthermore, Meraj admitted his connection to the Majeed Brigade group of the BLA, the same group responsible for the audacious attack on the Pakistan Stock Exchange. He also confessed to facilitating attacks on a military camp located within a school in Balochistan’s Naseerabad, leading to the martyrdom of numerous soldiers.

Meraj also confessed to orchestrating the murders of four cousins of a sensitive agency officer, based on the information he had gathered.

DIG Raza further disclosed that Meraj played a pivotal role in attacks carried out during the holy month of Ramadan. He confessed to conducting reconnaissance and facilitating attacks on the Gwadar Port and the Pakistan Navy airport, both of which resulted in the martyrdom of several personnel. Additionally, he admitted his involvement in an attack on military personnel in Noshki during Ramadan, leading to further casualties.

Authorities are actively pursuing leads to apprehend Meraj’s accomplices and dismantle the network involved in these acts of terror.
